INSTALLATION AND ROLLBACK / 0.1.9-query 1. Back up the current project with tools/x0x_backup.py and retain sample WAVs separately. A stopped backup/export can save dirty edits. It is not a read-only RAM query. Project backup does not cover samples, calibration or the separate reusable defaults bank. 2. Stop playback, lower MASTER, use a reliable USB data connection and verify SHA256. 3. Install Python 3 and the mido/python-rtmidi dependencies if not already available. 4. From the extracted bundle: python fm1_install.py x0x-0.1.9-query.fwsc The installer asks for confirmation. Leave power/USB connected until it finishes. 5. Check expected identity FM-1_9000109 and project recall before working on originals. The rollback folder contains the previous public 0.1.6-beta1 and its source, not factory firmware. Install it using the same tool with rollback/x0x-0.1.6-beta1.fwsc and restore the matching pre-update project if needed. Downgrade/restore has not been physically exercised here. Old firmware may not understand newer project data. Never overwrite your only backup. This release does not install anything on a Raspberry Pi or change the FM1 TRS jack.
